For God So Loved The World...

for god so oved the world

Isaiah said that it pleased God to bruise His own Son. The original text defines bruise as crushed, broken, shattered, and causing Him to suffer. Think about your children and you cannot imagine how it could please you to see them crushed, broken, and suffering. (Isaiah 53:10)

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” John 3:16.

As difficult as that is to understand with our finite minds, it was the only way God could save us from sin and disease. He chose to give up His Son, FOR US.

By doing this, God ensured that His children have eternal life, the forgiveness of their sins, and resurrection life. Through the Father’s sacrifice of His Son, we can live abundantly, without sickness and disease because Jesus took that on our behalf on the cross.

We Don't Have To Suffer

we don't have to suffer

Yes, our Heavenly Father was pleased to allow His Son to be broken so that we don’t have to suffer. When Jesus died, He took our sins, our guilt, our shame, and then He spoke, “It is finished.” Jesus knew that He had fulfilled what God has asked Him to do.

It is a finished work. We do not need to beg God for it. We do not need to expect Him to do more than He already has done. It is finished. Our job is to accept and believe what He has done for us.

This is why we can stand pure, holy, and righteous before our Heavenly Father – because of what Christ did for us. We can never do more than what He has already done.

Our Christian walk is not based on what we do; it is based on what God did for us. God wants you to grasp this truth into your heart and the enemy wants to keep you from it.

When we approach God through prayer, let our prayer be one of thanksgiving instead of one of petition. Recognize what Christ did for you and stop asking God to give you what He has already promised.

Pray the ANSWER instead of the problem as He has given us His Word, His Name, and His Blood. He paid the price for our suffering.

Pray The Promises

pray the promises

If we believe that God has given us the gift of eternal life and that it gives Him great pleasure to do that, it also means the temporal things are minor in comparison. We do not need to worry. We do not need to fret about our health, our finances, our family, or our job. These are temporal things and if God can give us eternal life, He can certainly supply our needs.

Begin to thank God for his promises. Pray the promises by incorporating them into your prayer of thanksgiving daily.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:6.

You have the full assurance God wants to heal you. To restore you. To bless you.

“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not also freely give us all things?” Romans 8:32.

When God gave up His Son, He gave us the best of heaven. It is a finished work.
