God Will Make a Way Where There Seems to Be No Way

“I will make a way where there is no way.” That is the message I heard in my heart when I could see no solution.
A few months ago, after a week-long speaking tour, I needed to catch the last ferry of the day to arrive home that night. This would not have been a problem, but there was an accident, and the highway was closed for over an hour.
I hoped the ferry would be delayed so I could make it. Each time I checked the status, it said “8:30 ferry on time.” I also noticed that the ferry was full—more than 500 cars.
I began thanking God for making a way when there was no way and tried not to allow any negative thoughts to rob me of that promise.
God Will Make A Way...

We have been using this ferry for over 30 years, and I do not recall that they have ever held a ferry for any reason.
When I arrived at the ticket booth, I asked the ticket agent if the last ferry had departed. She said, “No, oddly enough, we were going to close the gate when we got a call to keep it open.”
I questioned her further, and she reiterated that this was extremely unusual and had no clue as to why.
I jokingly said, “Maybe they were waiting for me!”
As I approached the boat, there was no one waiting in line. They directed me to hurry to the dock and told me to drive on. Then they lifted the ramp and sailed away.
I especially sensed God’s favor and praised Him for that. You can walk in His favor. He is not a respecter of persons—He only wants you to trust Him in all things.
Trusting God When There Seems to Be No Solution

I may not fully understand the circumstances you are going through today, but I do know this: God loves you more than you can ever comprehend, and He can make a way even when there seems to be no way.
Exodus 14 records how the children of Israel thought they were doomed when the mighty Egyptian army closed in on them. It appeared they would either be slaughtered by the Egyptians or perish in the watery grave of the Red Sea.
“Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today.”
— Exodus 14:13–14
Then God split open the sea, and the children of Israel “walked on dry land in the midst of the sea” (Exodus 14:29).
But God didn’t stop there. He caused the sea to return to its full depth while Pharaoh’s formidable forces were still in pursuit, and the Bible clearly says: “Not so much as one of them remained” (Exodus 14:28).
When You Face the Impossible, God Will Fight for You

Right now, you or your loved one might be facing a seemingly impossible situation. All your fretting and tears cannot change your situation—but there is One who can.
Do not be afraid.
Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.
He will fight for you.
He will overcome your enemies for you.
Don’t keep asking why. Don’t believe the lie that you deserve this situation because of sin. The Lord Jesus has already paid the price for your wholeness.
Just put your hand in His and let Him lead you through your situation.
He will cause you to walk on dry land in the midst of the sea.
God’s Promise Still Stands Today

The negative reports, medical statistics, and symptoms may spell an inescapable situation—but God will make a way that will stun everyone around you.
There is an enemy who wants to keep you enslaved to that medical condition, despair, poverty, or sadness—to keep you focused on your disappointments so you cannot see God’s promises.
“Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out, and their cry came up to God because of the bondage.”
— Exodus 2:23–24
When Moses told the Israelites that God would rescue them from their bondage, they refused to listen. They were focusing on their slavery and became discouraged (Exodus 6:5–9).
Even then, God did not abandon them.
God Hears Your Cry and Honors Your Faith

Have you been there—discouraged and wondering if God cared?
God hears your cry and asks you to trust Him. Just as He has done in the past, He will do for you.
God delivered the Israelites, and despite all their suffering, the Bible tells us that they came out of the wilderness with not one sick or feeble among them.
Stand still and see what God will do. He will honor His Word and your faith.
He will fight for you and overcome your enemies.
Stop asking God why you are sick or having problems and begin to thank Him that He directs your paths. He knows your future.
The Promise Is Yours — The Timing Is God’s
You can bank on the promise God has given you.
The promise is yours.
The timing is God’s.
Trust that God will make a way where there seems to be no way.
