The #1 Key To Understanding God's Will

One of the questions that people ask most often is how they can know God’s will?
Should I take this job? Should I move to another city? Should I marry this person? Should I adopt a child?
The list is endless. One of the key elements to understanding God’s will is that it does not bring confusion. The age-old trick the enemy uses is to keep you in a state of bewilderment.
How To Understand The Will Of God

Each of us has faced major decisions and has wondered which option to choose. Sometimes scripture spells it out for us and we have no doubt which way to go. But other times, it is not that cut and dried.
Many questions we have are answered in the Word of God. For example, it is not God’s will that we are sick or that our loved ones are not Christians. There is a multitude of scriptures that show us these answers clearly.
The Word of God, coupled with our action of believing His Word, puts us in a position of clarity regarding His Will for us.
In numerous scriptures such as I Peter 2:24 and Isaiah 53:5, we are told that by Jesus’ stripes we were healed. When Jesus died on the cross, He said, “It is finished.” He had completed His work. It is UP TO US to believe that Word.
What Is God's Will

God’s Word is His Will. Period. There is a little song we sang when we were kids that goes like this:
“If Jesus said it, I believe it. If it’s written in the Bible, I’ll believe it till I die. Though the mountains be removed and cast into the sea, His Word will last forever, throughout eternity.”
When you need to make a decision, God wants you to seek His Word and find your answer. When you find the answer, PRAY THAT ANSWER. In your prayer life, thank God that He has shown you His will. Thank Him that He has provided healing for you. Thank Him that He has promised your family will know Him as their Savior.
Thank Him for bringing clarity to your decisions. Thank Him that His Word gives you spiritual wisdom and understanding. As you thank Him, the clarity comes.
Understanding God's Will
The Bible does not tell us to beg God for an answer but to find the answers which He has already provided for us.
When we find the answer, then take that scripture and pray it back to the Father as a prayer of thanksgiving.
Thank Him that every promise in the Book is yours.
