Greater Works Than These

greater works than these

Have you read these verses and wondered what they meant? Did you believe them or think they did not apply to you personally?

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it” John 14: 12-14.

So. what does that mean? What are these greater works? Have any of you ever prayed for someone and seen them raised from the dead? Or prayed for them and saw them healed miraculously, or prayed for someone who was lacking income, and then something incredible happened to restore their finances?

When you see miraculous answers to your prayers, do you get excited and want to share that testimony with everyone? Of course, you do.

Greater Things Happen

John is telling us that we can expect to see the same and even greater things happen than when Jesus walked on the earth. Do we?

The apostles of the New Testament tell us to expect miracles because we are not asking amiss, we are believing that God’s Word is true. God cannot lie. If the Bible says it, and I believe it, then why shouldn’t I expect that? Do we?

When we choose to believe that and expect it, we see it happen. We have the Name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus, and the Word to apply to any situation and expect to see results. When we have the Word in our spirit and speak it out as the living Rhema Word, we can expect to see miracles. They should not be a surprise. They are certainly not a surprise to God.

Living in a place of expectation is a wonderful place to abide. This is where we see the manifestation of the spoken Word come to life. So, why does this passage say that we will see even greater works than what Jesus did?

The people we can reach today are far greater than ever before. Our words can reach millions.

Realize deeply that this same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His Word is alive today as it was from the beginning of time.

You do not have to be someone special. You do not need a special ‘gift.’ When you begin to understand who you are in Christ and the authority God has given you as a believer, you will see miracles happen.

Choose To Live Expecting Miracles

it was a miracle

You can choose to live expecting miracles or hoping for them. God responds to two things: your faith and His Word. Couple these two and you will see the miracles happen – just as He did when Jesus walked on earth. Just as the apostles did. Just as God has commanded us to do.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it” John 14: 12-14.

And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive” Matthew 21:22.

I have often heard Christians say, “I tried that, but it didn’t work.” I have addressed this in several YouTube videos which will bring clarity and make you realize that you have the power and authority, just as Jesus did. He has given that to us. Your only job is to believe in your heart and NOT doubt.

Go to my YouTube channel and search the word ‘authority.’

You will find dozens of short videos that teach you how to understand and usurp your God-given authority. And PLEASE send me your testimonies. I would love to hear them.

Pray The Answer Instead Of The Problem

pray the answer

Learn how to pray the answer instead of the problem. God’s Word has the answer to any situation you find yourself. No matter what the symptoms or negative reports say, God’s Word supersedes them.

Ask God to open the eyes of your understanding so you can know the truth of His Word and His promises to you. Dare to believe. God’s Word is YES and AMEN.

I am excited while writing this article to you because I know what will happen when you dare to believe – when you dare to trust God – when you dare to walk in expectation.

Faith does not deny reality and if you are living in a terrible physical or mental state, it is a very real place.

But when you find the answer to your problem in the Word of God, get that Word deep into your heart, pray that Word (promise) back to the Father, believe it in your heart, and not waver in your faith……watch what happens.
