I Believe Therefore I Speak
If God is in control why are there so many sicknesses, accidents, and disasters in the world? How often have you been asked that question? Do you know how to answer them?
The most important point is that God is NOT the author of calamities or diseases. The devil is real, active, and destructive. But Jesus came to give us abundant life. (John 10:10)
God gave Adam and Eve dominion over this world but when Adam sinned – it was corrupted. Adam had ceded control of this world over to Satan, the prince of the power of the air, (Ephesians 2:2) the god of this age (2 Corinthians 4:4) and the ruler of this world. (John 12:31)
That does NOT mean that Satan rules your world or has unlimited power. BUT….pay close attention here and soak in this truth:
Believers are NO LONGER under the dominion of Satan’s power and influence in this world because of Jesus Christ.
Believe And Speak
God has given us all the weapons we will ever need – the WORD, the NAME, and the BLOOD of Jesus. When we stand firm on the promises of God and speak that Word over any situation in our lives, we are HIS and the enemy cannot touch us.
ALL the blessings, promises, and protection that belong to the righteous are YES, and in Him Amen. (2 Corinthians 1:20)
Our job….is to receive them by grace through faith. NEVER are they received through our works but only through faith in His unmerited favor. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
And even greater than this realization is that these promises go to our seed. (Proverbs 11:21) This means that our children are kept safe and protected in Jesus’ name because of our position in Christ.
The enemy revels in bringing fear into our minds regarding our children. Turn those fears into a prayer of thanksgiving: “Father, I thank you that I am the righteousness of God in Christ and You promised in Your Word that the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. I choose to stand on that truth and believe it in my heart.”
“And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believe and therefore I spoke,’ we also believe and therefore speak” 2 Corinthians 4:13.
Child Of Our Living God
As a child of our living God, you can speak positively into your negative situations and watch them change for the better.
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” Romans 10:9.
“Whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and DOES NOT DOUBT in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says” Mark 11:23.
Faith always involves believing. It is not just lip service by memorizing scripture and saying it when you need it. It is getting the truth of that scripture into your heart and hearing that Rhema Word spoken back to you from God’s Word to your heart. It is resting in the knowledge that what God has promised He will perform.
When God created the earth and He saw darkness, He called forth the light by speaking. (Genesis 1:3)
When Jesus spoke to the storm, it calmed. When He spoke to the fig tree, it withered. He spoke to the demons and they fled. He spoke to the sick and they were healed.
Through Christ’s death and resurrection, He gave us the same authority. The power of life and death is in the tongue which is explained in this video. What are you speaking over yourself? Life……or death?When we take our eyes off the problem and put them on the answer found in the Word of God we rise from despair to victory, from fear to assurance. We can declare the scripture that is in our hearts given to us from God’s Word and know He will perform what He has promised.
Our petitions are turned into prayers of thanksgiving. We can rejoice and be glad for God will perform what He has promised. He cannot lie.
