Stop Worrying and Start Trusting God

stop worrying and start trusting god

How do you stop worrying and start trusting God's promises?

Have you ever heard people say “Is God listening? Does He care? I feel so far from him.”

You cannot rely on your feelings – they can be influenced by your surroundings. Trust your heart and what the Word confirms in your heart. When we need answers from God we go to His Word – we listen to what He is saying to our spirit – our inner person – and it is always confirmed in the Word.

God promised that He will NEVER leave you. He is always there – He LIVES in you. So, if He feels a million miles away, find the scriptures that tell you that He will NEVER leave you – He lives in you. He is always there 24/7 365.

But the Lord is with me as a mighty, awesome One” Jeremiah 20:11. In the middle of trauma – He is there. In the middle of fear – He assures you of His presence. In the middle of a decision – He is there to guide you. In the middle of grief – He is there to comfort you.

Why We Worry and How to Let Go

why we worry and how to let go

There are times when I have been in a frightening situation and all I could muster verbally was His name – “Jesus. Jesus. Jesus.” His overwhelming peace and sense of His presence and protection engulfed me.

If you struggle with worry or anxiety about your health, your job, your family, or anything else, the Word tells us not to be anxious about tomorrow for tomorrow will take care of itself. (Matthew 6:34)

Each of us desires to live peaceful lives but sometimes worry creeps in, especially if there are pending problems we need to deal with.

But God! God invites us into His rest. “For we which have believed do enter into rest”   (Hebrews 4:3 and 10).

We have a choice to stay peaceful…or not. We can worry…or not. We can rest assured God is taking care of it…or not.

These times are great opportunities to grow in our faith. This does not mean you will never have troubles, it means that when you do have troubles you respond in faith – with God’s Word. Whatever you come up against – it is only for a season, and you can shorten that season by trusting God.

God Is With You—Even When You Don’t Feel It

god is with you even when you don't feel it

When King Jehoshaphat knew there was no chance of winning the battle against the joined forces of their enemies, he shouted to the Lord. “O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You” 2 Chronicles 20:12.

No matter how huge the battle appears – STOP and begin to praise God for Who He is. Do what Jehoshaphat did when he placed the worshipers at the head of his army – NOT the commandos.

And said “Give thanks to the Lord, for His love endures forever” 2 Chron 20:21.

They stopped looking at their enemies and fixed their eyes on the Lord – giving Him thanks and singing praises

ONE GUESS WHAT HAPPENED!

God defeated the enemies by turning them against each other and Jehoshaphat’s troops never lifted a finger in battle. They merely watched the battle being won all around them without having to fight.

The enemies were dead; and it took God’s people three days to gather the spoils of war to use for themselves.

How to Stand on God's Promises During Life’s Battles

stand with god during life's battles

When you are faced with a challenge or a threat, remember what God tells us to do. When we cry out “Lord I don’t know what to do – but my eyes are on YOU.” The Lord Himself will fight your battle for you, 2 Chronicles 20:15.

I remember times in my life when there seemed no way out of my dilemma. When trauma was bombarding me from all sides and the voices in my head said, “You are doomed. There is no hope.

But then God’s roaring voice like the lion of Judah came from the pit of my innermost self and said “I am with you. I will not forsake you. I will fulfill what I have promised you.”

No matter what is happening in your life today – it is not the end of the story. God has chosen you for great things – He loves you – He will not fail you.

Reading His Word and listening to the videos on this channel will build your CONFIDENT EXPECTATION - that He will do what He has promised.

The Woman Who Dared to Believe: A Story from Mark 5

a woman who dared to believe

In Mark 5 there is a story of encouragement: A woman had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe. This woman had suffered for 12 years from a hemorrhage. She spent all the money she had on doctor's treatments – with no results. She got worse.

She had little fight left in her.

When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction . . . And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.” Mark 5:27-29,34.

Stop Worrying and Trust God

Mark’s account of the woman with the issue of blood doesn’t say, “When she heard Jesus.” It says, “When she heard about Jesus.

You know ABOUT Jesus. Decide today to believe what He says about your healing. Dare to believe that His Word is for you. Find your scripture. Stand firm
