Anti-Venom And The Fiery Furnace

A farmer’s sheep was bit by a poisonous snake while grazing in the field. As the poison tried to soar through the sheep’s body and his face swelled up, the farmer knew his sheep would not be deathly affected by the bite.
The sheep continued eating, playing, and grazing as though nothing happened. It did not seem to faze him.
What that old rattlesnake did not know is there is anti-venom in sheep’s blood that destroys the venom of the serpent.
Read that aloud. Let it sink in.
The anti-venom that runs through your body because of what Christ has done for you when He paid the price with His blood is like the anti-venom that runs through the sheep of the field.
When the enemy bites you, it does not need to faze you. You have Christ’s blood running through you, protecting you. Christ’s blood protects us, cleanses us, and purifies us.
Anti-Venom From The Sheep's Blood

Did you know that in the natural world, anti-venom is often made from sheep’s blood? Isn’t that exciting? How incredible that God draws this analogy to compare the natural with the spiritual to show His protection for us.
In the natural world anti-venom is made from sheep’s blood. In the spiritual world, anti-venom is made from the Lamb of God, Christ’s blood.
Rest assured that when you are attacked by whatever tries to overtake you, you have anti-venom, Christ’s blood, to protect you.
The enemy is aware of that fact, but he hopes you are not. There is no need for us to be afraid or flustered by anything. “Be anxious for nothing…” Philippians 4:6-7.
Jesus has paid the price with His precious blood for every area of our lives; our thought life, physical life, emotional life – the price has been paid for our protection.
With You In The Fire

A story that illustrates this well from the Old Testament s Daniel 3:26 – 27.
“Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, you servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then they came forth from the middle of the fire. And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counselors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the FIRE HAD NO POWER, nor was a hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, NOR had the SMELL OF FIRE passed on them.”
When you call upon the Lord in your day of trouble, my prayer for you is that the trial you are going through will have no power over you; it will not even leave a smell on you.
Instead, declare in Jesus’ name that you will walk out of that challenge in your life and the only smell on you will be the fragrance of the Lord Jesus.
There is truly no other god who can rescue like our God.
When the king looked into that furnace, he not only saw three men, but he saw a fourth man.
Whatever circumstances you might be thrown into, our Lord Jesus is the fourth man with you amid the fire.
He Will Not Leave You Nor Forsake You...

Notice how He did not stand outside of the fire but was in the fire together with the three friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego when they were thrown inside for defying King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon.
This brings a whole new meaning for us when we read the verse, “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you” (Deut. 31:6).
I talk more about this topic in this video:
In my memoir, Battered Hope, I share several stories when I was betrayed, beaten, and bruised. But EVERY single time, Jesus was there with me.
He rescued me. No weapon that was formed against me could prosper because I chose to believe God and His Word.
He is your protector.
He is your rescuer.
He is your redeemer.
He is with you in the fire.
God does not deliver you from afar; He is with you in the middle of your adversity.
The next time you are in the middle of something that would try to overpower you, remember how the Word of God describes the three friends. They were IN the fire, but it had NO power over them. It did not leave a trace of smoke on them. You have Jesus’ blood to protect you and your family.
No. I did not know sheep’s blood had anti venom in it, thanks for the info and I love the way you illustrated the power of His Blood.
I agree — this was quite the revelation when I discovered that anti-venom was in sheep’s blood. Thank you for commenting and I am glad the illustration spoke to you.
