Are You Undevourable?

undevourable

Are you Undevourable? Or do you fear that the devil is out to get you?

The Bible tells us that the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking who he may devour” 1 Peter 5:8.

The first thing to note is that the enemy is SEEKING. He is fully aware whether or not you understand your position in Christ. He is aware if you are living in fear.

He is aware if you are anxious and not trusting God in your circumstance. He is looking (seeking) for people who question God’s love for them.

To Be Undevourable Means...

undevourable

What is the opposite of those whom he may devour? The UNDEVOURABLE. That is the club I am a member of. I am aware that the enemy has zero authority over me. I know with all certainty that I am protected by Christ’s precious blood and nothing can by any means touch me.

Who is the enemy looking for? Those who are not aware of their position in Christ. Those who do not know the Word of God and His promises. Those who question and doubt the Word.

One of the major ways he tries to devour you is to make you believe God is mad at you. If he can take your eyes off God’s love and grace and focus on your shortcomings and guilt – he is in a great position to ‘devour’ you in your thought realm.

The secret lies in one simple verse that is confirmed many times over in the Word. “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” 1 Peter 5:7.

Understand God's Grace

what is grace

To be undevourable is to be free of concern.

No worries

No anxieties

No concerns about tomorrow

The legalist will say, “That is irresponsible” because he does not understand God’s grace. Yet, that is precisely what the Word tells us to do. No qualification. Just lean on God, trust Him, and stop worrying about the future or your past.

It has nothing to do with what you have done or not done. It has EVERYTHING to do with what GOD HAS DONE FOR YOU.
If you want victory in your life – then RELAX on His promises. Find the verses that tell you who you are in Christ and what He has promised you.

You Are Undevourable

The only lion you need to think about is the Lion of Judah, who is Jesus Christ, the King of Kings. He is not angry with you. His wrath is directed at anything that tries to destroy you. You are not the object of his wrath – you are the object of His love. When you understand that, the devil knows you are UNDEVOURABLE.

Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and the noisome pestilence” Psalms 91:3.

The first word in that passage is ‘surely.’ It is your assurance. You can bank on it. It is not qualifying you whether you deserve it or not. You have it because you are a child of the Most High God.

He has set us free from the enemy’s snare or traps. We are undevourable because of what Christ has done for us. So many Christians live in fear mode and God does not want them to dwell there. He came to give us abundant life, joy, and peace in the middle of any calamity

A fowler is a professional bird catcher who lays traps and carefully conceals them so that he can ambush unsuspecting birds. The enemy tries to set traps to ensnare us when we are unsuspecting. But when we know who we are in Christ and believe the truth of God’s Word, the devil moves on – he knows he can’t touch you.

Walk In Faith

What is a noisome pestilence? It is a plague or a deadly pandemic-level disease that spreads quickly and causes great suffering and death. The Psalmist tells us that we shall be delivered. We do not need to be anxious or concerned about it. We only need to trust God and His promise to us.

We are not living in Utopia; Adam committed high treason and gave the keys of the world back to the devil. We are struggling in this world and the circumstances surrounding us because of what Adam did. It is common knowledge that the world is going to get darker the closer we come to the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

But it is no surprise to God and He tells us that no pestilence, no plague, no snare has to concern us. God has won the battle. He wrote the end of the Book and we do not need to worry about our future. Instead of concentrating on what the enemy is doing in the world, concentrate on the Word that tells us we are victors, we are winners.

That is why we can rejoice and praise Him and why we have nothing to fear.  Our steps are ordered by God. He knows where we are. He gives us the tools through the Word, the Name, and the blood, to be in a place of authority, of thanksgiving, of praise, and of understanding.
