God Is Our Refuge

Many sincere Christians fall into the trap of the wrong belief that they have fallen short of God’s expectations. They tend to believe they have angered God. They constantly seek God’s forgiveness instead of enjoying their relationship with Him.

NEWSFLASH: Fear or insecurity and love cannot coexist in a healthy relationship with Him. You can choose to believe what the Word tells you about His unconditional love, unmerited favor, and boundless grace or ignore it.

Trust That God Is Our Refuge

Many Christians think God is angry with them because they have sinned, and they dwell on the lie the enemy wants them to believe.

For as I have sworn that the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth, so have I sworn that I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you. For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, now shall My covenant of peace be removed” Isaiah 54-9 – 10.

Stop allowing the enemy’s lies to rob you of the truth of God’s Word.

Christ's Tomb Remains Empty...

empty tomb of christ

Christ’s tomb remains empty because all our sins have been forgiven and Jesus has risen. Our salvation assures us in the nail-pierced hands of our resurrected Savior. The throne of grace confirms that we are under the protective covering of His feathers and wings.

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” Hebrews 4:16.

God wants to protect you from the enemy’s lies and any impending attack. See yourself protected.

He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings, you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler” Psalm 91:4.

Jesus Is There To Protect You

The Lord will not force His protection if we are not willing to come under His wings. Accept what He is offering you. He loves you more than you can imagine, and He is not angry at you.

Take time to thank Him for His protection and the blood covering that keeps us safe.

Just as God did for Ruth, He will do for you. “The Lord repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge” Ruth 2:12.

In the same way, it is a privilege for us to take refuge under his winds. It shows Him that we need and appreciate Him and gives us full reward for trusting Him.

I will feed My flock, and I will make them lie down,” says the Lord God. “I will seek what was lost and bring back what was driven away, bind up the broken and strengthen what was sick” Ezekiel 34:15-16.

No matter what you may be facing, you can rest in the fact that Jesus is there to protect and bless you.

God Is Our Refuge And Strength

god is our refuge and strength

The Bible tells us that He is our fortress, our stronghold, our tower, our friend, our source, and our Savior.

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned everyone to his own way, and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all” Isaiah 53:5-6.

Then in 1 Peter 2:24-25 it says, “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.”

We were like sheep going astray and we were sick. But when we comprehend that we have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of our souls, we can have full assurance that by His stripes, we are healed.

The Shepherd is the One who looks for the lost sheep and when He finds it, lays it on His shoulder, rejoicing. Let Him carry you on His shoulders and rest in His strength.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” Psalm 46:1.

God Is Our Refuge

struggle to forigve

Possibly you are going through troublesome times right now. The loss of employment, inability to pay your bills, relationship concerns, family issues, or a health crisis can put you in a tailspin.

But never, ever give up hope. God loves you. He only wants what is best for you. He cares about each detail of your life. Depend on Him as your source.

He is the very present help in ‘times of trouble.’ He can help you. He wants to help you. But He wants you to depend on Him, to trust Him.

Begin to thank Him despite your struggle and before you see the manifestation of the miracle. Find the scriptures that promise you what you need in your life. Ponder those verses in your heart. Praise Him for fulfilling the promise and that He is a God who cannot lie.

He has you under His wings and with His feathers He protects and provides for you.
