We Are Secure In God's Protection
Is it possible that a sincere and well-meaning believer can fall into the devil’s trap? How often are Christians convinced that they have fallen short of God’s expectations and angered Him? This results in a constant state of trying to appease their angry God when they could easily enjoy a sweet and intimate relationship with Jesus instead.
Think about it. Fear and love cannot coexist in a healthy relationship.
“For as I have sworn that the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth, so have I sworn that I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke. For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed” Isaiah 54:9 – 10.
If you are struggling with these negative thoughts regarding your relationship with God, you can win that battle when you find freedom and liberty in Christ. When you learn to believe right about His love and grace, the doubt flees.
God's Protection Is With Us
Wrong believing will rob you of joy, peace, and the understanding of God’s grace and mercy.
Each one of us can experience God’s presence in our lives when we believe that God’s Word is yes and amen. If you have any moments of doubt, begin quoting the scriptures over yourself.
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in Him I will trust” Psalm 91:1-2.
When you learn to believe right about His love and grace, the doubt flees.
As you tell yourself that the Lord is with you and you have His favor, blessings, and protection, you will sense His shadow covering you. His shadow is a picture of nearness. Stop ‘trying’ to get into the secret place and realize you are already there in Christ. How could you get any closer?
Just like the story of the prodigal son with all his shortcomings and failures, see God running toward you and rest assured of His love for you. He sent His Son, Jesus, who suffered in our stead, and we are now seated with our heavenly Father. You cannot get any closer than that!
Often people say, “I don’t feel God’s love or His presence anymore.” His love is not based on our feelings. His love is based on the Word of God and He cannot lie. If you do not ‘sense’ His presence, start by thanking God what His Word says He will do. He will NEVER leave you nor forsake you.
Many people live in fear for a variety of reasons. They may be afraid of the world coming to an end. Or they may fear leaving their homes, flying on an airplane, pursuing a new career, starting a friendship, visiting a new church, or a hundred other fears that can stop them from doing or being what God has promised them.
Fear can rule your life – if you allow it. Find scriptures that speak against the fear that is trying to control you. Many of these verses are listed in PDF format on my website.Trust God. Always.
When you say, “Lord, in You I trust” it does not mean you instantly stop feeling any fear. Trust means you CHOOSE to act on God’s Word in ‘spite’ of the fear. You will be amazed at how quickly it changes, and you sense His presence all around you.
Many live in fear of the unknown, especially in today’s world. Our tomorrows are more uncertain than ever. News reports compound that fear with who or what you should believe.
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” John 16:33.
“He shall deliver you in six troubles, yes, in seven no evil shall touch. You. In famine He shall redeem you from death, and in war from the power of the sword. You shall be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, and you shall not be afraid of destruction when it comes. You shall laugh at destruction and famine” Job 5:19 – 22.
NO evil.
NO sickness.
NO famine.
NO war ramifications.
No slander against you.
No destruction or calamity.
No wild beasts of the field.
No harm including injury, violence, havoc, ruin, hunger, or lack of habitation.
AND ……… here is the drumroll:
You will go to your grave in full vigor. I have always believed that. We do not need to die of sickness, disease, or calamity.Rejoice In The Lord's Protection
Even if we are living in dangerous times, we have an almighty God who watches over us. My prayer is that we all increase in knowledge and have a progressive revelation of the Lord’s presence and protection in these last days.
Let us give thanks to God for His deliverance from all our troubles as we continue to believe we will come to a place where no evil will touch us or our loved ones.
“But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain” John 20:11-12.
Do you know what Mary saw as she looked into the tomb? She saw the substance of the ark of the covenant.
Just as the scripture says we can see that there were two cherubim or angels on the mercy seat and two angels sitting where Jesus had lain – one at the head and the other at the feet. It was an EMPTY tomb that remains empty because all our sins are forgiven and our Lord has risen!
The mercy seat is a picture of the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). This is where we want to be – at the throne of grace, under the protective covering of His feathers and His wings. There is absolutely no safer place in the universe than under His wings. Rejoice with me that the Lord’s protection is over each of us – and our families.
