Ask God For The Big Things
My friend shared a dream with me that she had many years ago. It changed the way she looked at God and, changed her life.
She dreamed she was in a massive bank vault and was surrounded by gold, silver, and precious gems. The manager of the vault said to her, “You can have whatever you want. Take as much as you would like.”
Her immediate response was, “No way. I could not do that. I did nothing to deserve this wealth."
The manager insisted so she said, “Fine. Thank you very much. I will take this gold nugget. That is more than enough, and I do not deserve it as I did not earn it.”
Instantaneously, she comprehended what God was showing her in this dream. No one deserves God’s abundance, yet He desires to give it to us. None of us deserve it and we certainly did not earn it.
God chooses to give “exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever” Ephesians 3:20-21.
The Big Gifts...
Jesus did not want us to have a life that is marked by lack or despair but by the fullness of His love, joy, and peace. What would you ask God for if you believe that?
Do you believe that Jesus came to give you abundant life? Not only spiritually but in every area of your life?
Are you afraid to ask God for the big things? Do you think you do not deserve them?
Enlarge your faith to believe in God’s goodness. He is pleased when our faith is big. He is not offended when we ask Him for big things.
Trust in our God, who hung the planets in their places and spoke order into the world. God, who led His people in a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. God, who rained manna from heaven and brought forth water from dry rock.
God, who turned bland waters into the finest wine. God, who made the lame walk, the blind see, and the deaf hear. God, who multiplied five loaves of bread and two small fish to feed five thousand men. God, who raised the dead and conquered the grave. He is the God we serve. He wants to give you good gifts.
Ask God For Big Things
STOP LIMITING GOD. Start asking and believing God for the big things. Find the verses that support what you are asking God for and pray those answers by praying the scripture in a prayer of thanksgiving.
“And whatsoever you ask in My Name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” John 14:13.
Do you have a pauper mentality like the woman in the dream? Do you limit God from blessing you as He yearns to bless you?
Are you believing the lies the enemy wants you to hear that “you are not good enough, you have not done enough, and you do not deserve the best”?
God responds to HIS WORD and YOUR FAITH.
No human being deserves God’s love, mercy, or grace. But because of the sacrifice Christ made on our behalf God promises us untold blessings as we are in right standing with God.
God wants us to understand that grace and gives us access to abundant life through His Son.
STOP limiting God and what He has promised you. No, you DO NOT deserve it. Nevertheless, it is a gift – unwarranted and underserved.
Turn your begging or pleading into prayers of thanksgiving that God will do what He promised He would do in your life.
