How You Can Cast Out Fear

Have you ever waited for a return call from your doctor’s office to hear the results of a recent scan or test? What is going through your mind? Are you fearful, anxious, or concerned?
Do you know why it is difficult to stop fearing? Fear is not logical – you cannot reason yourself out of it.
You may start quoting scriptures out loud to keep your mind from wandering to a place of distress. The only way to be free from fear is to cast it out. “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves torment” 1 John 4:18.
You cast out fear by allowing His love to inundate you and drive out every anxiety. Stop focusing on the problem and start focusing on the Word of God. There is a scripture for any fear you may encounter. Set your mind on God’s unconditional love and favor for you.
Cast Out Fear

Find the scriptures that tell you that Jesus paid the price on the cross for your sicknesses or strife. Take those verses and thank God for them in your prayer. That is praying the answer – instead of the problem. By voicing them you are not reminding God what He said in His Word – you are reminding yourself of what He has promised you. That is praying in faith, instead of fear.
Never judge His love for you by your circumstances
Never judge His love for you by your circumstances. The devil can attack your circumstances, but he can never attack the cross. Put your fears on the cross and realize that is where God’s love was demonstrated once and for evermore.
Jude 1:21 tells us to keep ourselves in the love of God. Let our minds be focused on that instead of our problem.
In the middle of anything that is happening in the world at large or your personal world, you can be fearless. This comes from knowing the Lord as the Prince of Peace.
“Now the God of peace be with you all” Romans 15:33. Do you know what happens when you recognize the God of peace in your life? “And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is with you” Romans 16:20.
All Because Of Grace

We have all His promises because of grace. Grace is the undeserved, unearned, and unmerited favor of God in our lives – and the only thing the devil has NO defense.
This is why we put our faith in His Word and His promises. We are covered by His precious blood and no harm can come nigh us. Because Jesus paid the price, we who are in Him have a right to walk in divine health and protection. Grace qualifies us for God’s protection. It is not based on what we do – it is based on what God through His Son did for us.
You have NOTHING to fear. You have been redeemed from fear.
No fear of judgment.
No fear of punishment.
No condemnation from God who has covered your sins through Christ’s blood.
The curse of the law and death no longer has a hold on you. Christ purchased our freedom from the doom of the Law by becoming a curse for us. (Galatians 3:13)
“…through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage” Hebrews 2:15.

Those who do not rest in this promise are never at rest. That fear of death can cause sickness as they often fear disease as well. This is a bondage of fear and has no place in God’s perfect love.
The fear of death can also cause them to be fearful of driving, flying, or simply going to the mall because of the mass shootings they read about. For some that fear is so severe that it consumes their thoughts and causes them to make wrong decisions.
The above verse clearly shows that the moment the fear of death is removed, your bondage is removed. Your susceptibility to being in bondage is removed. Jesus died to set you free from all fear.
The more you establish yourself in the Word and His promises, the more you will experience the abundant life Christ came to give you.
