The Most Critical Truth
One of the most basic truths you will hear as a Christian is also one that is consistently questioned by Christians when life’s struggles are overwhelming.
This truth is crucial but simple. Consume it. Meditate on it. Allow it to take root so nothing can shake it from its foundation.
This truth is an anchor. When you understand it – you will never question it again. The absolute truth is that God loves you. Period. Exclamation Point.
A Critical Truth
If you have wondered whether God loves you – STOP it.
God cannot lie.
God never changes.
God’s Word is for everyone.
“For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you. Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed says the Lord who has mercy on you” Isaiah 54:10.
God loves you – no matter what happened, no matter what you did, and no matter how many times you have messed up. He loves you with a divine love that we are incapable of understanding.God's Love For You
On the other side of that spectrum, there is nothing you can do to make Him love you more. God is not a respecter of persons. God does not look at our performance and determine how much He loves us.
He looks at His Son’s performance and what Jesus did for us that determines His love for us.
Reading your Bible more, praying more, or doing more good deeds does not change God’s love for you. His love is constant, never-ending, and not subject to the laws of man.
When you fail, you remain the apple of God’s eye. Deuteronomy 32:10
God loves you with EVERLASTING love. Jeremiah 31:3
As humans, we are incapable of that type of love, and therefore, not able to comprehend it.
God’s love is forever. When you feel alone, He is there to hold you close.
Not only are you loved, but you are ACCEPTED – with all your failures, problems, and even your doubts.
Your job – is to believe in it and rest in that fact. There you will find peace.
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, or sword? Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present or things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 8:35, 37-39.
This Is The Truth
There is no doubt, no question – He loves you. Never allow the lies of the enemy to steal that truth from you. God has written it on your heart.
Nothing means NOTHING.
The enemy remembers your past, and your sins, and throws them in your face to bring confusion and guilt. That is his job. Your job is to reject those thoughts and replace them with what the Word tells you.
